THERE ARE NOT TOO MANY, BUT NOTE THAT:
1. Never put leeches in pregnant women. Included in the secretions of the salivary glands of leeches hirudo may influence the course of developing pregnancy, and in extreme cases, cause miscarriages.
2. An absolute contraindication is hemophilia!
3. Contraindication may be the recently completed treatment with anticoagulants. Hirudo treatment in this case can be carried out only after a break lasting at least two weeks.
4. Caution should be exercised in cases hipothomy when blood pressure is 60/80, or slightly less. After screening hirudo almost always in such cases, patients experience dizziness and weakness overall.
5. Do not carry out the surgery with strong anemia.
6. Very carefully hirudo conduct sessions in allergic patients, since they may also be allergic too. In these patients at the first screening affix a maximum of 2 leeches.
7. The assumption does not cure leech children under 10 years of age. An exception may be the only cases of replantation.
CURRENTLY ACCEPTED CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR HIRUDO IN EUROPE INCLUDE:
* Haemophilia
* Anemia
* As the bleeding from upper gastrointestinal
* Acute infectious
* Severe stages of internal diseases and immunosuppression
* Severe allergy
* Pregnancy
* Disturbances in wound healing
* Patient is conscious and mentally handicapped
* keloid
